Italy has a level for every stage. Your entry level decides which documents you'll attest (Tab 7) and whether you sit the IMAT (Tab 3).
3 years · 180 ECTS. Enter after 12th. Most are direct-admission; medicine needs IMAT.
2 years · 120 ECTS. Enter after a relevant Bachelor's.

Italy offers a fully recognised, English-taught 6-year Medicine & Surgery degree at public universities — admission is purely by IMAT rank, no donation.
Registration opens ~July on Universitaly; Bando (rulebook) by 31 Aug; result ~3–4 weeks after the exam.
You rank universities at registration — it cannot be changed later, so plan it against your expected score.

Public-university tuition is income-based and low. With a regional scholarship, your all-in cost can drop to roughly ₹4–5 lakh a year.

Crucially, scholarships in Italy are awarded by regional government bodies (DSU) — not universities. Each region has its own body, amount & deadline.

The Declaration of Value (DoV) is issued by the Italian Embassy Delhi / Consulate Mumbai / Consulate Kolkata. It certifies which Italian level your qualification equals — mandatory for enrolment.
